"Software Test Box" is a Canadian company operating in the National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau). Created in 2007 in response to a growing demand for testing services.

"Software Test Box" is involved in all levels of the software development life cycle. From the translation of requirements into, testing strategies, defining testing procedures, scheduling testing activities, training staff, creating test plans, writing manual test cases or automated test scripts, reporting and tracking defects, presenting test results and product compliance reports.

Our expertise as lead to the successful implementation of numerous test automation solution to cover the following types of testing mandates: Unit, Installation, Acceptance, Functional, Regression, and Load.

Our favorite automation solutions are: Visual Test, Segue SILK, Mercury Interactive WinRunner (now HP Quick Test Pro), Apache JMeter and SELENIUM.

The complexities of the projects that have been taken on have ranged from simple patches to complex product development including integration with numerous third party applications.

Why the name "Software Test Box"?

To make reference to the Black and White box testing terminology. We focus on "Black Box Testing".

As "Wikipedia" puts it: Black-box testing is a method of software testing that examines the functionality of an application (e.g. what the software does) without looking into its internal structures or workings (white-box testing). This testing method can be applied to all levels of software testing: unit, integration, system and acceptance.
